Is Glyco Reset Good for Diabetes, Prediabetes or Blood Sugar?

Quick answer

Glyco Reset is a dietary supplement, not a diabetes treatment. Its label says it supports healthy glucose utilization, but no study of the drops exists. Plain apple cider vinegar nudged fasting glucose down slightly in trials, at amounts far above a dropper's worth. Keep every medicine as prescribed.

Key facts
  • The label (design B) claims only "Supports Healthy Glucose Utilization*". The star leads to the FDA statement.
  • Glyco Reset is not a diabetes treatment, not a drug and not FDA approved.
  • No clinical study of Glyco Reset has been published.
  • The type 2 diabetes vinegar trials gave 13.75 to 30 mL daily, for 4 to 12 weeks at a time.
  • The ADA Standards of Care 2026 do not recommend supplements for glycemic benefit.
  • Ask your doctor first if you take insulin, a sulfonylurea or any diabetes medicine.

Is Glyco Reset good for diabetes?

It is not a diabetes product, and it does not claim to be. The bottle's wording is cautious. Design A says only Health Supplement*, while design B says Supports Healthy Glucose Utilization*. Each star leads to the usual FDA note: the claim is not FDA-evaluated, and the product is not meant to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent disease (21 CFR 101.93 (supplement claims)).

That is the right way to read it. A supplement may talk about supporting a normal body function. It may not promise to fix a disease. Diabetes is a disease. Prediabetes is a medical finding. Neither one is something a bottle of drops is allowed to treat.

Back in 2021 the FDA and FTC warned 10 companies whose supplements claimed to treat diabetes (FDA and FTC warning letters (2021)). If any page tells you Glyco Reset treats, reverses or cures diabetes, close it. That page is making a claim the label does not make.

What does Glyco Reset say it does for blood sugar?

The label and graphics use soft words. They talk about healthy blood sugar levels, balanced glucose, energy, vitality, circulation and metabolism. Only the glucose wording appears on a bottle, and only on one of the two front designs.

So when people ask "what does Glyco Reset do" or "what is Glyco Reset good for", the careful answer is this: it is sold to support healthy glucose use, and the only related research is about one ingredient at much larger amounts.

What did the vinegar studies find?

A 2025 review pooled 7 trials in 463 adults with type 2 diabetes. Fasting glucose ran about 22 mg/dL lower on 13.75 to 30 mL of vinegar a day, over 4 to 12 weeks. Most of the trials were low quality, and the A1C results were inconsistent (Arjmandfard 2025 vinegar review). A wider 2021 review of 9 trials in 686 people found a smaller drop of about 8 mg/dL (Hadi 2021 vinegar review).

Short meal studies add a second clue. Vinegar taken with food went with a smaller rise in glucose and insulin after that meal (Shishehbor 2017 vinegar and meals). It is a modest signal, and it is the whole reason vinegar appears in blood sugar products.

Now the catch. A kitchen tablespoon is about 15 mL, so the trials used roughly one to two tablespoons a day. One whole Glyco Reset bottle is 60 mL, and part of it is water and sugar. Even if every drop were vinegar, the bottle would match only 2 to 4 days of a trial dose. The serving size is not published, so the drops cannot be placed on the trial scale at all.

What if you have prediabetes?

The CDC reports that more than 2 in 5 U.S. adults have prediabetes (CDC: Prediabetes). If that is you, the strongest tool on record is not a supplement. In that program, losing 7% of body weight and moving 150 minutes a week went with a 58% lower chance of type 2 diabetes, and a 71% lower chance for people 60 and older (NIDDK: Diabetes Prevention Program).

Glyco Reset has not been tested for prediabetes. If your doctor agrees, it can sit beside a real plan as a small extra. It should never be the plan. Practical habits are covered in our everyday glucose habits guide.

Can you take it with diabetes medicine?

Only after your doctor agrees. Insulin, sulfonylureas such as glipizide and glimepiride, and meglitinides can cause low blood sugar on their own. Vinegar may add a little to that effect (NIDDK: Low blood glucose). Heavy vinegar use has also been tied to low potassium, which matters with water pills and digoxin (MSKCC: Apple cider vinegar).

Never lower, skip or stop a prescribed medicine to make room for drops. NIH warns against replacing diabetes care with unproven products (NCCIH: Diabetes and supplements). Tell your doctor you are thinking of starting, and bring the bottle to the visit.

Know the signs of a low

A meter reading under 70 mg/dL, or feeling shaky, sweaty or confused, counts as low. The NIDDK steps are 15 to 20 grams of fast carbohydrate and a recheck 15 minutes later (NIDDK: Low blood glucose). A severe low needs emergency help. Call your doctor before you take another serving.

Does a blood sugar supplement with sugar in it make sense?

It is a fair question. Pure cane sugar sits on the list of six names, and it counts as added sugar (FDA: Added sugars). The amount is not published. The Daily Value for added sugars is 50 g, and the drops are probably a small share of that, but "probably" is not a number.

If you count carbohydrates for insulin, an unknown sugar amount is a real problem. Ask the order desk on +1 (302) 200-3480 how many grams of sugar one serving holds, and write the answer on the box. Sodium citrate adds a little sodium, also in an unpublished amount.

What should you ask your doctor?

  • Does a daily vinegar product fit with my current medicines?
  • Should I check my glucose differently for the first few weeks?
  • Is the unknown sugar amount a problem for my meal plan?
  • Is acid a concern for my stomach, throat or dental work?

Bring the bottle itself. No Supplement Facts panel is published online, so the back label is your best source.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is Glyco Reset good for diabetes?

It is a dietary supplement, not a diabetes treatment. No study of the drops exists, and the ADA does not recommend supplements for glycemic benefit. Keep your medicines and glucose checks as your doctor advises.

What does Glyco Reset do?

The label says it supports healthy glucose utilization, and graphics add energy, vitality, circulation and metabolism. The only related research is on apple cider vinegar at 13.75 to 30 mL a day.

What is Glyco Reset good for?

It is sold as a daily supplement for people who want to support healthy glucose use. It has no proven benefit, and it is not for treating any disease.

Is Glyco Reset good for you if you have prediabetes?

It has not been tested for prediabetes. A lifestyle program with weight loss and 150 minutes of activity a week has strong evidence. Ask your doctor whether the drops can sit beside that plan.

Can Glyco Reset lower blood sugar?

Nobody can say, because the drops have not been studied. Vinegar lowered fasting glucose about 22 mg/dL in trials, but those used amounts far larger than a dropper holds.

Can I take Glyco Reset with metformin?

Metformin is not among the medicines NIDDK names for causing lows, but it is often paired with one that is. Tell your doctor about any new supplement before you start.

Our view

We would not call Glyco Reset good for diabetes, and we would not call it useless either. The honest position is narrower. It is a sweetened vinegar drop with a soft label claim, no study and no published amounts.

If blood sugar is a worry, start with your doctor, your meals and your movement. If you also want to try the drops, do it with your doctor's knowledge and your usual checks unchanged. This article is general information and not medical advice.

Plain facts

Glyco Reset is a dietary supplement. It is not FDA approved, and no dietary supplement is, because the FDA does not approve supplements before they are sold. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Take medical questions to your doctor.
